Connect ChatGPT to your Telegram notifications.
telega-AI gives ChatGPT tools for notifications, replies and exact-action decisions. The current setup uses a custom MCP connection. It is not yet a public one-click directory installation.
Setup checked against the October 10, 2026 interface. Paid signup and open registration are still being prepared.
Create a custom connection
Open Plugins in ChatGPT. Choose Add → Add custom MCP server. Enter telega-AI as the name and https://telegaai.app/mcp as the Server URL. Choose OAuth. Use the server URL option for the cloud service.
Review and authorize
Review the custom-server notice and choose Create as a plugin when you agree. If prompted for OAuth client setup, use automatic registration rather than entering an access key. Sign in on telegaai.app and review the assistant and return address before allowing notifications, replies and approvals. The available screens depend on your ChatGPT account and workspace permissions.
Use the connection in a conversation
Enable telega-AI in a new conversation. Ask: “Use telega-AI to send ‘ChatGPT is connected’ to my Telegram. Use event key chatgpt-first-test and context ID chatgpt-first-test. Report the delivery result.” Check the bot chat as well as the tool result.
Read your Telegram answer
Use Reply on the bot message and send “Received”. Back in ChatGPT, ask it to collect the reply for context ID chatgpt-first-test. A plain unrelated Telegram message is not an answer to this test.
Try an exact decision
Ask for a harmless test approval. Read its text and expiry on your phone. Approve or reject it, then ask ChatGPT to check the decision. Before acting on approval, it must consume that same action hash once.
Cloud connection and existing personal tunnel
The direct HTTPS endpoint runs in the cloud. An older private installation made through a local Secure MCP Tunnel still needs its Mac and tunnel running until that installation is replaced. Keep the working personal connection during the migration. A server connected label alone does not prove notification delivery.
